The D-Day collection marks 6 June 1944 in buildable form: the Operation Overlord gift set in 1:76 for diorama builders, and the D-Day Fighters set in 1:72 for the air over the beaches. Both are gift sets, with paints, glue and a brush in the box. The 1:76 set also shares its scale with the military vehicles and figures ranges, so a landing scene can keep growing.

The Airfix Battle of Britain collection puts 1940 on the bench: themed gift sets, the Memorial Flight, and the ground crew who kept the fighters flying. More than fifty Airfix kits serve the Royal Air Force (RAF), from the Spitfire and Lancaster to the Typhoon and F-35 flying today, gathered here as one collection. The Second World War squadrons are the biggest share, the Cold War close behind with the V-bombers, Lightning and Hunter. Around them fly the B-25 Mitchell, P-40 Warhawk and PBY Catalina, mostly at 1:72 with the fighters also in 1:48. A P-51D starter set makes the gentlest entry point, and the bomber resupply set adds the airfield bustle around the heavies.
