Is enamel paint good for models?

Your choice of paint will come down to personal preference. Some people prefer enamel to acrylic, believing it has better staying power and goes further than acrylic paint. It is generally better for creating detail on your models, as it dries slower, giving you more time to get everything just right.

So, it is quite likely you will want to use a mix of acrylic and enamel model paint. Just make sure every coat is completely dry before painting over the top.
