Welcome to Airfix 2015!

Now that the covers are finally off the Airfix 2015 range, we thought that we'd highlight a few of our favourites, as chosen by Matt, Sam and the rest of the Airfix Development Team. New models this year range from a WWII Refuelling Truck to the colossal Shackleton, with new products covering over 75 years of aviation history.

The A02069 1:72 Boulton Paul Defiant Mk.I includes an open and closed canopy and a highly detailed movable turret.

The A04058 1:72 Nakajima B5N2 ‘Kate’ Torpedo Bomber features moving control surfaces, open and closed canopies and lots of options for ordnance. The kit can also be built with its wings extended or folded.

The A03087 1:72 Ju87 B-1 Stuka’s detailed airframe features many options such as open and closed canopies, bombs and tanks.

The A04019 1:72 Beaufighter Mk.X has positionable ailerons and comes with the option to build with or without the 8 3in 60lb RP and torpedo. We have worked hard to ensure it accuracy in areas many other kits have missed such as the asymmetrical cannon muzzle ports.

The A04056 1:72 Sea King HC.4 has been designed directly from highly accurate 3D scan data to ensure its accuracy. The interior is highly detailed and the rotor blades and tail section can be positioned open and folded.

The A04057 Hawker Siddeley Harrier AV-8A includes new parts to enable the first Harrier type to be operated by the US Marine Corps to be constructed.

The A06014 1:72 Heinkel HE111P-2 represents the version of this famous Luftwaffe bomber that operated during the Battle of Britain. The model was designed using 3D laser scanning technology.

The A08016 1:72 Whitley Mk.V Bomber has access doors, two highly detailed turrets, and drop flaps to accompany this unique looking aircraft.

 

The A11004 1:72 Avro Shackleton MR.2 has optional parts to enable Phase I, II or III types to be built, positionable control surfaces, a complete interior and newly sculpted crew figures. The A05127 1:48 Hawker Hurricane Mk.I represents the famous fighter that accounted for 60% of the RAF’s air victories in the Battle of Britain. It can be posed with open gun bays and a retracted canopy to show off the wealth of cockpit detail.
