History
In the Second World War, HMS Belfast was engaged in the Battle of the North Cape in 1943 and was pivotal during the D-Day landings in 1944. Following a significant refit, Belfast also participated actively in the Korean War from 1950-1952.
As one of only three remaining bombardment ships from D-Day, HMS Belfast is now preserved by the Imperial War Museum and is moored on the River Thames near Tower Bridge in London.
