History
During World War II, fierce battles for air dominance took place over Europe, with Allied and Axis pilots engaging in intense personal duels. In the summer of 1944, the new 'D' model of the North American Mustang was introduced. Considered one of the best combat aircraft of the war, it was deployed against the remnants of the Luftwaffe, which included less seasoned pilots and older models of the renowned Messerschmitt Bf 109. However, in skilled hands, the Bf 109F Friedrich remained a formidable opponent.
