History
At 7.55am on Sunday 7th December 1941, the US Naval Base at Pearl Harbour faced a sudden and devastating assault by the Japanese Navy. Originating from six aircraft carriers, two formidable waves of attack were launched, involving over 400 strike and fighter aircraft. These targeted the US Pacific Fleet stationed at Pearl Harbour and the airfields at Ford Island, Hickam Field, Bellows Field, and Wheeler Field. Although the attack caused extensive damage, it also awakened a military powerhouse and a nation resolved to achieve ultimate victory.
