Although D-Day is usually commemorated as the specific date of 6th June 1944, the fighting in support of Operation Overlord started long before that date and continued long after. It also involved every branch of the military, including Allied Air Forces pounding axis targets throughout 1944 and fighter aircraft charged with protecting the airspace above the landing beaches themselves, to flagship HMS Belfast pounding German positions in support of the actual landings on Gold and Juno beaches. 

Central to this onslaught were the tens of thousands of troops and their equipment who flooded the landing beaches and headed into the Normandy region and beyond, onward to victory.

In one of the largest kit bundles we have ever assembled, we allow modellers to create their own scale tribute to that momentous day and the brave people who either won freedom for the world, or gave their tomorrows so we could have our today.
